1 oz Sloe gin
1 oz Southern Comfort
Directions: Fill a mixing glass with crushed ice. Add sloe gin, Southern Comfort, amaretto, and orange juice. Shake and strain into shot glasses. Makes about 4 shots.

this is a correct variation
you can trade the amaretto or the sloe gin for the grenedine, usually you would give up the amaretto for grenedine if you want to use less alcohol. It definately should not include lemon juice!

wrong recipe
the correct recipe for an alabama slammer is 1oz vodka .5oz Sloe Gin .5oz Sothern Comfort Equal parts lemon juice and orange juice Put ice in collins glass add ingredients shake with narrow shaking can and then give it a paper straw To make it a shot cut ingredients in half and mix in a mixing glass

it should be red and fruity...
this drink should have grenadine in it.
